Let's Ask Violet

True story: When I first asked out my current boyfriend (yes, I asked him out first, I’m not afraid to put myself out there), he originally didn’t understand that it was me asking him out on a date.  So he actually invited a mutual friend of ours to come along, and thank god that mutual friend called me first beforehand.  I told him that it was supposed to be a date, and the mutual friend told my boyfriend that he was backing out.  Thankfully my boyfriend clued in that it was a date, and he freaked out, because it was his first date ever.

Things went well (obviously because we’re still dating), and it’s still probably one of the most memorable things about our relationship.

That being said, I wish our second date wasn’t 2 MONTHS after the first one.
