Timing!
I honestly had no idea that so many of you guys liked the fact that Tyler punched Malcolm in the face, regardless if he was actually here to try and woo Violet back or not.
Also he could get fired cuz of that.

sam… your making violet the adult she shouldnt be that serious to tyler she should be saying it was stupid to do it and yes she is right he can get fired, but she needs to understand that he doing what every boyfriend/husband will do to discourage the old bf from trying to make them comeback to them.. or try to tempt them if there married into leaving the husband
I agree with the concept that DarkMyster put forth. Mind you, had Malcolm been introduced as a whimp, the situation would be different. There is such a thing in men as a set of rules that govern our reactions. Same as women. It is written in our DNA thanks to history. Because of these rules, this situation is typical and we understandably root for Tyler. As guys, we got each others backs. If Malcolm came in Pease, he should have asked Bill if it was a good time to see Violet, not just spurt out that he is coming. In doing so, he, possibly intentionally, sparked chaos within the men in Violet’s life all to appear as the Victim. As for Tyler being at work, location is omitted from the mind in a situation like that. Comes from the old days when you found a tiger in your house.
Where I differ from DarkMyster, men should never NEVER apologize for defending our loved ones. It’s our role and apologizing is demasculating.
