I’ve worked in Tech Support (both as a volunteer over the Internet whilst at uni) and being paid for it over the phone. Some people are good with computers, some aren’t.
I had to show one of my friends at uni how to use a mouse.
Most of the people who work in Tech Support know that the reason that software often says “Press ENTER to continue” was that, in the old days, they used to say “Press any key to continue” and tech support received lots of calls from people who were asking where the “ANY” key was.
I have no doubt that the above has happened.
