The Goold Ol’ Days
I seriously hate it when kids say “Why can’t everything be like the old days where-” when they’re only 18. I mean come on! You haven’t lived long enough to say “the good old days”. What are you reminiscing? Watching cartoons??
The “Help Violet Get a New Computer” fund update: Only 8 days left until the donation closes! Donate if you can, spread the word if you can’t!
I remember saying things like that. However, studying the past, I agree that before the invention of time-limiting devices like the microwave, life ran at a slower pace, like a plant, we took time to let it grow. But there was no time in existence that has no dark side. Yet that slow pace life still exists. It’s still there, however you can’t find it in the city. The city is “the world at my feet now”. After that old farm life came the baby boomers and Hippies. That, I hear, still exists too. The question is to balance what you want, what you have, what you need and what you are willing to give up and choose what lifestyle you want to have and work for it. But remember, a country life can’t exist in the city, nor can a hippy live in the army.
btw, I screwed up last time… we are at 7 now
actually, it’s 5. Sorry, I shoulda been more descriptive. One panels count if they have a frame around them.
sure, make me sad.
haha Let’sAskViolet, the game!
I know fans of the 80s that aren’t even 20. It really depends what she means. Heck, maybe she’s referring to the good old days of Imperial Rome. I miss watching people nearly kill each other in the arena… oh wait, it’s nearly Black Friday again, never mind *gets out popcorn*.
If she had come to me I hope that I had the presence of mind to ask the question: What do you think has changed for the worse?
With a bit of probing you could get to the real issue.
